Though there's really no overall significant need for this forum, it's in place as a haven for those who wish a peaceful community to share their thoughts and creative output. However peaceful we may be, though, we DO HAVE RULES.
Rule #0: Don't be a douchebag
Self-explanatory. If you know or think that what you are about to do will hurt, offend, or otherwise be a less than polite or reasonable response to anything towards anybody, then DON'T DO IT. Obviously, arguments will break out, but your job is to take the high road and let the moderators deal judgement. If you're acting callously and violating Rule 0, you will get hit with a penalty, same as all other participants.
Rule #1: Cussing is allowed
If you don't like swear words, this may not be the place for you. Obviously, there are limits on the usage for such words (such as any usage that would violate Rule 0), but for the most part, language is not limited on sheer basis of societal rules of conduct.
Rule #2: Any and all content must be yours
If you're posting it under your name, it can't be owned by somebody else. That's a breach of copyright, and just isn't allowed. Now, there are subtle boundaries on this, as fanworks do not technically count as a breach of copyright (not here, at any rate), but any blatant usage of someone else's intellectual property will be removed and the perpetrators given a strike. Which brings us to Rule 3.
Rule #3: Three strikes and yer out.
One offense will give you a warning by PM from a mod. Two offenses will earn you a strongly worded warning via PM by a mod, as well as a one-week ban. Three offenses will result in a perma-ban. A red record can be wiped clean over time by good behavior. This rule is not meant as a killjoy, only as a precaution.
There are a lot more lesser rules and regulations, but they all fall under the above four. Follow all four (specifically Rule 0), and you should be fine.
Enough with the official nonsense, though. Off you go, and have fun! Be sure to post an introductory thread in the Manifest, just so existing members know who you are.
